This form is used to define an Event Template in terms of information such as identification, duration, indicators (forecasting parameters), status and planned number of occurrences. Event Object Tasks should be defined for all tasks that are performed repetitively. The latter can include inspections, preventative or predictive maintenance as well as adhoc or corrective maintenance which occurs frequently.


The source for Event Template can be documentation such as maintenance manuals, technical instructions and service bulletins.

Event budget

The event budget reflects the resource requirements to be used to execute the event and is influenced by the serviceability requirements of the object.


Use this Button to define specific event tasks for the event object. The validation section validates the correctness of the data that has been set up and an error log can be viewed with the results of the data validation process.


Use this function to manage the enquiries for the calculation and compares of the budget vs actual cost and sales calculations and budget vs actual cost and sales results.

Record Status

Change the record status.


This button is a document handling function.

Event Characteristic

Event characteristics are used to define event activities or to define characteristics for feedback by type execution.

Event Actions

Event actions are used to define event activities or to define characteristics for feedback by type execution action.

Strip and build

Event strip and build actions are managed with this function.

Predictive parameters

This form is used to define predictive parameters that will be triggered for an event object.

Event Permit

This form is used to define specific permits or certificates that are required for an event object.

Related Events

This function is used to create and maintain a hierarchy of events by defining the relationship between events.

Event Interval

This function is used to define the interval/s for programmable events. Multiple intervals may be defined per event.

Responsible Organisation

This form is used to define the organisation responsible for the maintenance of that part of the structure. Use this only in the case where some sections are maintained by different organisations.

Validate data

Validate the correctness of the data that have been set up.

Data Error Log

View all errors generated during the data validation process.

Field name

Field description


Object Code

This field defines the grouping of asset/equipment classification items or parts. The object code used will types that are controlled managed. Select from the predefined lookup values of object codes.

Structure Code

This field is the structure position for the object. The code uniquely identifying the position of the item in the structure and is user definable. A Structure code of “0” is automatically allocated by the system for the top (Highest level) of every object.

Object Description

The short description of the object code. This description is defaulted from the description of the object structure base, but may be edited by the user.

Event code

This field is a unique user definable code to identify an event object. Event code will be used to uniquely identify the event templates for standard tasks of maintenance, contract and operational that are performed repetitively.

Event description

The short detailed description of the event code.


Planned no of occ

The default value of this field is zero, which means that this event will be forecast indefinitely. If this value is set to a value, for example 1, it will be forecast only once and never again. Usually used to cater for once of events.

Duration (hours)

The number of hours planned to complete the event tasks.

Forced Indicator

This field is used for the forecasting to decide if a task is scheduled for a non-work day. This value is defaulted from the Event Definition record.

Fixed Indicator

If this field is selected, the frequency cycle is fixed. This value is defaulted from the Event Definition record.

Quote model

This field defines which quote model should be used for this event. This includes the option All budgets or Fixed price, and if event is fixed price, then the cost on the quote is the value of the resources of the selected event. If All budgets is selected, then the selected event budget (resources) and all event actions that have an event repair linked to the action and they are included in quote indicator is ticked, will be added together and that will be the cost on the quote.

Extended expected life indicator

If this field is ticked, the expected life of the equipment is chosen to be extended, the equipments life will automatically be extended on completion of the work order.

Record Status

Identifies in what status the record is.
