360° Strategic Asset Management > Setup > Warranty Definition > Warranty Object >Specific Warranty

This button is used to define warranties against specific structure positions. The purpose of this is to allow a warranty check to be performed when a work order is created against a specific structure position. On creation of a work order the system will check if a valid warranty is applicable on the position and create a warranty claim record if true.

This function is usually only used if the specific position is not a serial controlled position. It is better practice to define warranties for object types than for positions. This button enables the user to register all specifics where this warranty is applicable.
