This form is used to define default accounts and to link the object and general ledger account. The account defined in this instance will be used as default for time and material events. The parameter settings must be done in such a way to accommodate local financial requirements.

Navigating the form

To create a new record press CTRL+N or the new button. The following tables provide descriptions for the controls in this form:

Create a new default account to be linked to an object.

Delete

Delete a default account linked to an object.

Fields

Account type

This field defines the type of account to be used. When a new record is created the type will defaulted to “Maintenance”.

Object type

This field defines the object type of the characteristic. Select a value from the available values on the lookup. The type can be an item, material, support equipment or services.

Account number

Select from the available list of accounts the main account to be used to post in the general ledger.
