Validate data

The purpose of validating data is to ensure that the data used within the system is clean, useful and correct. If the structure type is “Rotable” then object ageing must exist and a related object must be specified. In the case where a related object has been specified and the position is not the top of the structure a check will be done to determine if the object code and structure code are linked is also linked at a higher level in the same structure. This check for loops will be done recursively for each higher level in the specific structure. Ensure that the warehouse set-up for an Location type object is correct. The following rules apply:

·  A warehouse must be specified for an Location type object.

·  Warranty codes for a supplier type warehouse and an execution type warehouse must differ.

·  Warranty codes for a quarantine type warehouse and an execution type warehouse must differ.
