Create a new Maintenance work order

The following is an example for the create maintenance wizard view.

1.      Next (tab-1) Execution specific and event detail: Provide and select the execution specific and event detail in order to create a new execution.

 

2.      Next (tab-2) Work pack detail: Select a current workpack if this must form part of an existing workpack else a new workpack will be created. Select application and indicate billing if the work order will be billed. Billing will only be done on external applications.

 

3.      Next (tab-3) Organisation, customer and project detail: Provide organisational information and select a customer if the work order is for an external customer. Specify the project information if integrations with projects is ON.

 

4.      Next (tab-4) Planning detail: Provide planning information in order to determine the planned end date. If event template was used for the create of the work order, then the information will be add from the event detail.

 

5.      Click on the Finish button to complete the create wizard process for the execution work order. The execution resource lines will defaulted in from the event detail as it was setup in the event template.

Field name

Field description

Specific id

This field defines specific identification on which the work will be performed. Only the specifics for the object, if that field is filled, will be listed in the pull down.

Specific object structure code

This field is the specific object structure position. Select from the predefined drop down list of structure codes.

Object code

This field is a unique user definable code to identify an object. Select from the predefined drop down list of object codes.

Execution specific description

Enter the work order description that defines the execution specific.

Event code

The selected an event Code that will be used to perform the maintenance task. (If the selected object is linked to events as an event object, then the all events will display in the drop down.)

Description

Description of the event definition and will be automatically added from the event table.

Workpack type

This field defines type of execution being performed for the work order. A work order can either be a “maintenance work order” (work order for work to be done on a specific object, for example the servicing of a fork lift) or an “operational work order” (work order for hiring a specific object to do a specific work, for example hire a fork lift to use in the moving of something or moving freight from one location to another location.) A workpack can be the execution of 1 work order or multiple work orders in 1 pack.

Execution ID

This field is a code or number uniquely identifying the work pack.

Description

Enter the description that defines the work pack.

Application

Select the correct classification for the execution record, Internal for the execution of maintenance work orders within the organisation between different divisions/departments, or External for the execution of maintenance work orders to external customers.

Billing indicator

Select this indicator if the internal organisation is billable, in the instance of external organisation the indicator is automatically billable.

Execution organisation

Select the organisation name from the list of lookup values that defines the organisation which will do the performing of the maintenance.

Execution org structure code

This field defines the structure position of the organisation which does the performing of the maintenance and the field will automatically be added from the selected Execution Organisation.

Internal accounting org

Select from the available lookup list the internal organisation to be used for accounting purposes. This field is a mandatory entry. This field will defaulted in from the strategic asset management setup parameters if a default accounting organisation was selected.

Internal accounting org struct

This field defines the structure position of the internal organisation for which the execution is performed and the field will automatically be added from the Organisation. This field is a mandatory entry.

Internal organisation

Select the organisation name from the list of lookup values that defines the organisation for which this execution is performed.

Internal org structure code

This field defines the structure position of the organisation for which the execution is performed and the field will automatically be added from the Organisation.

Customer code

Customer detail will be available for selecting if application is EXTERNAL. Select a customer code from the list of lookup values to define a customer linked to the execution work order. The customer code is created in the resource table and uniquely identifying the customer.

Customer name

Description of the Customer Code and will be automatically added from the resource table.

Project contract ID

Project contract id identifier will be enabled when the Application = External and when project integration is enabled. New button will allow for the creation of a new project contract ID. Default can be selected if a default project contract was defined for the organisation.

Project name

The project name will be added from project ID that was selected.

Planned duration (hours)

Enter the planned duration of the work order in hours to be completed. This is the total planned hours for all the specific execution tasks.

Planned start date

Define the planned date when execution of the work order must start.

Planned completion date

The planned completion date of the work order is calculated and displayed by using the start date and time and adding the duration of the work order to it.

Execution resource / Stock dimensions

On the completed wizard form execution resources can be add/removed to the work order for completion of tasks as well as updating of stock dimensions for the execution resources.

Execution age

On the completed wizard form execution ageing can be added on the selected specific on the work order.
