This function is mainly used where Suppressions or Triggers must be set up. Selecting Suppression will still schedule a task that is suppressed as a result of the mentioned task, but it will be created as a forecast event with status “Suppressed” because all activities for the main task are included in the Suppressed task and a second Execution Order does not need to be created.

Trigger tasks are created when the completion of one Event must trigger another.

Create a related event

1.      Click Related Events from the action pane on Event object form.

2.      The following is an example for related events form view.

 

3.      Click New button to create a new related event record.

4.      Add Child event by selecting from the available pre-definable list.

Object code child will be automatically added from the object table.

Structure code child will be automatically added from the object table.

5.      Add Event relationship by selecting the relationship.

6.      Save the record by pressing CTRL+S. If relationship is of type "suppression" or "trigger" the Event related age button will be activated.
