Use this form to create and maintain the contract specific characteristics. This function is used for specifics with characteristic type = Contract. The characteristics to select for the contract are predefined in the base characteristics.

Navigating the form

To create a new record press CTRL+N or the new button. The following tables provide descriptions for the controls in this form:

View or add the characteristic class that was selected the variables for the selected class.

Fields

Field name

Field description

Characteristic Code

Select a characteristic from the list of available values from the drop down. The field is used to identify the characteristic.

Characteristic Class

This field defines the characteristic class. This will automatically be added from the characteristic code that was selected on the execution specific record. The selected value determines the behaviour of the fields.

Description

This field defines the characteristic in more detail. Enter a short description of the characteristic code.

UOM

If the characteristic class is specified as UOM, then only will this field be populated. This field contains the type of UOM value that will be stored: for example - meters, calendar or quantity.

UOM Code

This field defines the uniquely identifying code for the unit of measure (UOM). Select from the predefined drop down list of UOM codes: for example UOM=QTY - km, ea, or lit.

Currency Code

If the characteristic class is specified currency, then only will this field be populated. This field uniquely identifying UOM value that will be stored: for example - Rand, US Dollar or Euro.

Date

This field defines the value if the characteristic class is a date.

Indicator

This field will have a value only if the characteristic is of type Indicator.

Text

This field defines the text/detail of the specific object, but is not editable if characteristic class is date, numeric or currency.

Numeric

This field defines the value if the characteristic class is a numeric or currency.

Default Colour

This field defines a colour that will indicate the colour of the specific object.
