 The following are main functionalities in the set up module.

·         Strategic asset management setup parameters - This function is used to set up the system base data for the functional processes within 360˚ Strategic Asset Management .

·         Mobile integration setup parameters - This function is used to set up the system base data for the functional processes within .

·         Base - This function is used to set up the system base data for the functional processes within 360˚ Strategic Asset Management .

·         Engineering Instruction - This function is used to set up for the Engineering Instructions for Objects.

·         Event - Event definition can be defined as the set up of default event templates regarding any instance or occurrence of anything that can be a planned or added as an adhoc event.

·         Incident - Incidents and accidents/Failures can be identified and recorded through the execution of business processes within an organisation. This function is the base set up of information for the management of Incidents/Failures.

·         Mobile - This function is used to set up the system base data for mobile processes within 360˚ Strategic Asset Management .

·         Object - Object definition will list all of the object types that are defined, like organisation types, location types, equipment types or personnel. Object classes, Object type condition setups as well as the Object type usage adjustment set ups.

·         Warranty - Warranty function is used to Manage Warranties for a specific object type and individual object pertaining to the maintenance/upkeep thereof.

Account setup for customers

This function is used to set up the default accounts to be used on the customers accounts when submitting financial transactions. This is specifically used for different customers, and each customer can have their own default account settings. This default set up includes the following:

  • Default specific and resource data can be selected for a specific customer and account type.
  • Default project information (only if project integration is ON), project categories and default line properties.
  • Default account type information for execution type, contract type and inventory account, as well as ledger dimension.
  • Default financial dimensions can be selected for a selected ledger.

Account setup for organisations

This function is used to set up the default accounts to be used on the organisation accounts when submitting financial transactions. This is specifically used for certain account types, for example default records will be created for maintenance organisations (Workshops, departments). The default set up will includes the following:

  • Default specific and resource data can be selected for a specific organisation structure and account type.
  • Default project information (only if project integration is ON), project categories and default line properties.
  • Default account type information for execution type, contract type and inventory account, as well as ledger dimension.
  • Default financial dimensions can be selected for a selected ledger.

Ageing period definition

Use this form to create and maintain the ageing period definitions that will be used for management process.

Characteristics

Use this form to create and maintain all the different characteristics for an object.

Characteristics Group

Use this form to create and maintain all the different characteristics groups to uniquely define characteristics.

Codification setup

Use this form to create and maintain the codification set up of external/specific identity codes.

Currency

Use this form to create and maintain the currencies that your company uses and to set up the on line numeric conversion tool and rounding rules for the accounting currency and other currencies. This will only be done manually if AX Dynamics integration is OFF.

Fuel mapping

Use this form to create and maintain the fuel mapping transactions between system fuel definitions and external parties fuel definitions.

Impact codes

Use this form to create and maintain a list of impact codes that is associated with an incident to indicate the impact the bespoke incident is having on the surrounding systems/environment.

Item state

Use this form to create and maintain the conditions of an item. (For example : New, repaired, etc).

Nature of impact

Use this form to create and maintain the base configuration data to classify the nature of impact on an object.

Notification settings

This form is used to create/maintain default notification settings for a specific environment.

Permit

Use this form to create and maintain the base permit templates (types). The form contains detail that can be used when specific permits are registered. On each permit type a related permit type can be linked.

Resource

Use this form to create and maintain all the base resource data to be used as resources throughout 360˚ Strategic Asset Management . This form (and associated tables) is part of the interface between 360˚ Strategic Asset Management and you ERP system. If you have an ERP and electronic interface in place this form and associated tables will be populated from the ERP.

In the latter instance the ERP will be the master of the bespoke information and the form will only be for viewing purposes. Resources are linked to events and execution work orders, contracts and various other modules.

Typically the resource data are stock, supply of materials, staff and/or assets that can be drawn on by a person or organisation in order to function effectively. The data can be populated from a source table or the main system via interfaces. (For certain resource types this will only be a manual/import process if the AX Dynamics integration is OFF. When integration is ON, the process will be automatically synchronized from the different AX Dynamics Modules.)

Route

Use this table to create and maintain the different routes travelled to pre-defined destinations.

Route leg

Use this table to create and maintain the different routing legs with the distance travelled between predefined destination (route name).

Severity codes

Use this form to create and maintain a list of severity codes/descriptions that will be used with incident objects, to define the intensity or degree of the objects injury or damage.

Sorting

Use this form to create and maintain the sorting values for user defined different categories for reporting purposes.

Status

The Base Status function is used to maintain the various status types, subsequent statuses, other status related conditions and stages for specific business processes.

UOM

Use this form to create and maintain the base unit of measures. This will only be done manually if AX Dynamics integration is OFF.

Utilisation condition

Use this form to create and maintain the base utilisation condition codes that can be used for the set up of event intervals used for scheduling under specific conditions.

Warehouse

Use this form to create and maintain the list of warehouses, set up of stock and locations that will be used in the system. Warehouses can be defined as a geographical location or a particular function which can be stores or warehouses that supply the organisations with stock/spares.

Warehouses are linked to Items to identify item location and to Organisations to set up a supply structure. This form (and associated tables) is part of the interface between eXsam and you ERP system. Validate data

The purpose of validating data is to ensure that the data used within the system is clean, useful and correct.

 

 

 

Engineering instruction

Engineering instruction

This function is used to create and maintain the engineering instructions set up for objects.

Modification state

This function is used to create and maintain the modification state for objects.

 

 

 

Event

Event definition

This function is used to create and maintain a register of all generic events templates that can be defined with a class of planned or adhoc. (Adhoc is used in an unplanned/unexpected event, refers to management of problems re-actively without reference to a strategic plan). Event definitions can be set up for a specific object structure. For a specific event template you will create budget events, and various setup definitions and tasks.

 

 

 

Incident

Defect codes

This form is used to create and maintain defects codes for use in a specific participant item in an incident.

Failure characteristics

Use this form to create and maintain all the different characteristics for failures. Characteristics are defined for different failure categories, classes and type “function loss”, and then used to give more definition to a specific instance of the type.

Failure codes

Use this form to create and maintain failure codes and the relationship between the failures and objects.

Incident Actions

The Incident/Accident Action form is used to create and maintain the actions against the different incident categories and types.

Incident Characteristics

Use this form to create and maintain all the different characteristics. Characteristics are defined for different incident categories, classes and types, and then used to give more definition to a specific instance of the incident type.

KPI Definitions

Use this form to create and maintain the KPI definitions that are relevant to measuring the performance of your Incident Management Process.

Notifications

Use this form to create and maintain the Notification setup that are relevant Incident Management Process.

Safety Plans

Use this form to create and maintain the Safety Plan definitions that are relevant to measuring your Incident Management Process.

Object Class

Use this form to create and maintain the classification of objects and sub-classes.

Objects definition

Use this form to create and maintain a list of objects. Object definition will list all of the object types that are defined, like organisation types, location types, asset types or personnel.

Organisation definition

Use this form to create and maintain the organisation objects. Organisation definition will only list/view all of the object types that are defined for type organisation. The information related to this definition is the same as the object definition, except that in this instance the information and set up is specific for the object type Organisation.

Building, facility and plant definition

Use this form to create and maintain the building, facilities and plant objects. This definition view will only list/view all of the object types that are defined for type building, facility or plant. The information related to this definition is the same as the object definition, except that in this instance the information and set up is specific for objects of the selected type.

Location definition

Use this form to create and maintain the location objects. Location definition will only list/view all of the object types that are defined for type Location. The information related to this definition is the same as the object definition, except that in this instance the information and set up is specific for the object type Location.

Personnel definition

Use this form to create and maintain the human objects. Personnel definition will only list/view all of the object types that are defined for type human. The information related to this definition is the same as the object definition, except that in this instance the information and setup is specific for the object type Human.

Equipment definition

Use this form to create and maintain the equipment objects. Equipment definition will only list/view all of the object types that are defined for type equipment. The information related to this definition is the same as the object definition, except that in this instance the information and set up is specific for the object type Equipment.

Transport definition

Use this form to create and maintain the transport objects. Transport definition will only list/view all of the object types that are defined for type vehicle, aircraft, water craft. The information related to this definition is the same as the object definition, except that in this instance the information and set up is specific for the object type vehicle, aircraft or water craft.

Object type condition setup

Use this form to create and maintain object type condition adjustment percentages to be used for calculation of costing values.

Object type usage adjustment
