This refers to the management of the object departments, locations, facilities and, in some cases, business units. By managing objects across the facility, organisations can improve utilisation and performance, reduce capital costs, reduce object-related operating costs, extend object life and subsequently improve ROA (return on assets). Objects cover such things as the design, construction, commissioning, operations, maintenance and decommissioning/ replacement of plant, equipment and facilities.

The object definition and object structure on the Risk management module can be used to view all the objects that will be managed across the organisation. Risks can be defined and raised against objects or object structures.
